Last Friday Jordan and I went to the President's Ball. It was pretty much a glorified high school dance, but it was still good. We, my roomies and I, had a great time getting all gussied up! The dance was down at the Devos Place. The theme was the 1920's but only about a hand full of people actually dressed the part.

After the dance we drove to my house so that I could work in the morning. I had only gotten a couple hours of sleep so it was kinda a rough day of work. Jordan and I were going to go skiing after I got done with work, but due to extenuating circumstances we didn't end up going. Instead, we went and picked up a movie and brought it back to my house and Ally, Craiggers, and us watched it together. I worked Sunday too. It's nice to be making a little bit of money.

So, today is Valentines day!!  Jordan is making dinner for me  and then hopefully we can hang out most of the rest of the night! Which means I need to go start on my homework!

Hope everyone has a great V-day! Peace!

This past weekend I was up in Searchmont Canada for my ski racing team. It was alot of fun! Skiers are crazy! I took first place in the super G, sixth in the slalom, and fourth in the GS. Not too bad for my first time racing at that hill. I was really excited about super G, but I have never really cared for slalom that much so sixth is okay. I was a little dissappointed in my GS because that is normally a good event for me. I think between the new terrain, the artic weather conditions, and Chris saying "this is not a safe course, I don't believe they set it this way, this is so not safe" that I kinda freaked myself out. That's okay. I am still third in the world cup standings, only three points out of second and fifteen out of first. Really it isn't that far away.

Hmm, since my life is mostly skiing right now there isn't too much to type. We have the Presidents Ball on friday. That should be fun, three of my roomies are going. The theme is the roaring twenties. My dress isn't that style, but I am looking forward to putting it to some good use anyhow. After we get back from the dance, I think I am headed home so I can work saturday and sunday out at the hill. I need to help reimburse my self for last weekend's excursion. That's about it. I have a mountin of homework that I keep putting off because there is so much I hardly even know where to start. Oh well. It' getting late. Peace!

I was up at Boyne racing this weekend when I get a call from my sister. Apparently she backed over the rock at the end of our driveway and got the car stuck. My parents are out in Colorado right now, and last year while they were out there she rearended another car on her way to practice. Maybe my sister shouldn't drive at all while my parents are gone. Then maybe I can get the car!!  lol

So far I've had a good Christmas break. I am excited that today I finally got my computer fixed so now I can get online at school!! Before I left for Christmas, Jordan came up to go skiing, but supprised me with my christmas present. We went to the Nutcracker and out to dinner. It was all wonderful, even though one of the dancers fell, poor girl. For Christmas I was up in Traverse City. The Texas Chemas (my cousins) flew in on Christmas day. They love comming up to play in the snow. Allison and I headed off to a ski race camp a couple days after Christmas. We learned quite a bit and got pretty beat up doing it. lol. The last day of camp we headed home so we could be here for new years. Katie, Jordan, Cara, and the Baldwin clan came over to celebrate. Nicki was there earlier in the evening but had to leave to go to a different party  lol. Then Jordan hung out here new years day to go skiing. The snow wasn't bad, but I had to get up really early to showup for work. Oh well. I need the money. Last night I went up to hang out with Katie and her family since I haven't seen them in a long time. That was fun. I have to get back to chores now though. Bummer. Hope everyone had a great Christmas/New Years!!

Final exams are creeping up too fast! I feel like I am five years behind where I should be. But isn't that the way they always go? Last night instead of studing as much as I should have, I eneded up taking my bike apart and cleaning it up for the winter. It was alot of fun but my hands are still dirty....eww. lol. It also doesn't help that I am  planning on going home tomorrow night. I am going to work out at C-burg to try and rake in a few bucks before the holidays. I still have some Christmas shopping to get done....whoops! lol
